Our staff is nationally certified and know what it takes to get you in the best shape of your life. Our trainers know the struggles of everyday life and how to help you overcome them to get the results you want. We have extensive coaching experience and have helped hundreds of clients succeed. Our trainers are diverse which allows us to work with a wide variety of populations.

CrossFit Coaches

David Charbonneau

Head Coach

Coach Dave has been coaching Crossfit since 2011. A seasoned vet as an athlete, with 3 CrossFit Games appearances, Dave now fills his time helping others reach their competitive goals. He has coached a stable of athletes to the Regional level, as Individuals and as parts of Teams. He has also Coached a Masters (40-44) athlete to the CrossFit Games, where she took first in 2015 and 3rd in 2016. Dave now steps into CrossFit Queens extremely excited to aide every CFQ athlete in achieving their fitness goals. He’s an open book, so feel free to grab him and ask him anything. This is not just limited to fitness though. He also loves Burgers, Survivor, and Magic.

Amy Dracup

Foundations Coach

With 10 years of coaching experience, including time as a member of the CrossFit HQ Seminar Staff, Coach Amy is passionate about human movement. She loves to help people move better, more efficiently, and without pain. Coach Amy is also a veteran competitor, having competed at the CrossFit Games 4 times, and playing Grid for the DC Brawlers for 3 seasons. Her personal interests include her French Bulldog puppy, Penny, and gorgeous manicures.

Kareem Elbasty

CrossFit Level 2 Trainer | NASM Certified Personal Trainer

Kareem Elbasty is a Crossfit L2 trainer and fitness enthusiast. He believes that what we do in the gym influences who and how we are outside of it. Coach Kareem began doing CrossFit in April of 2013 as a way to rehabilitate a knee injury suffered while doing Brazilian jiu-jitsu. After a few weeks the CrossFit bug had bit him, and soon thereafter he flew to California to get his Level 1 Cert and thus began his coaching career. He derives great joy from seeing new athletes make connections in their mind and body, and he is extremely supportive along the way. Kareem enjoys waxing poetically about the universe, sliding down snowy mountains and washing dishes.

Kevin Magnaye


Growing up in the bustling environment of Queens New York, Coach Kev was exposed to athletics and fitness at an early age and participated in competitive basketball tournaments throughout his youth and adolescence. After graduating with a degree in Criminal Justice, he discovered CrossFit in the summer of 2013 and his passion for it grows continuously as he works with our athletes. When coaching, Kev’s main focus for any athlete is constant development on their journey with CrossFit: you can expect him to push you to limits you didn’t think were possible and occasionally surprise yourself with what you are able to accomplish. He believes that training in the gym is more than just making your body better, but also your lifestyle better. Also, he loves personalized handshakes. If you don’t have one with him yet, you will.

Evan Sibley


Evan started CrossFit in August 2012 with a mainsite workout that, like all of us, had him lying on the floor staring at the ceiling asking what just happened. From there Evan began CrossFitting on his own in steel plate gyms for 2-2.5 years before joining CrossFit Columbus Circle towards the end of college. Shortly after finishing school he began working at CrossFit Queens where he coaches all levels of athletes. He believes something is only worth doing if you have fun, that a gentle hand is often what gets the best results, and that running really isn’t as bad as people say it is. Evan is a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer and studied Acting at Fordham University.

Joe Rosko

Head Coach

Joe Rosko started his fitness career at the age of one in his family’s garage when his dad put a pair of 2 and a 1/2 lb plates on each side of a broom stick and taught him to do clean and jerks (video evidence accessible). Since then Rosko became a top 100 ranked high school baseball player in the state of Ohio, an all-state high school linebacker, a division 1 collegiate football player at Coastal Carolina U, an AFPA certified personal trainer, and a winning competitive CrossFit athlete in multiple states. He found his fitness and athletic niche with CrossFit in Missouri in July of 2013 and he hasn’t looked back since; as a Head Coach, he prides himself in diving completely into whatever he is doing. He runs his classes with an atmosphere of absolute focus combined with an amiable, welcoming vibe. Rosko always is striving to better himself and continues to strive to better others along the way.

Brandy passionately believes that fitness can change your life. Brandy has been involved in sports since grade school. After spending several years as a successful trial attorney, Brandy turned her passion into her career and wants to share her love of fitness with the world. She was first introduced to Crossfit in 2007 and started Crossfit Queens in 2009.

Brandy lives to empower others, especially those new to fitness, to do things they never thought possible. She believes that having fun while putting in consistent work is key in your fitness journey. She has over 8 years of experience working in fitness from teaching group exercise classes, personal training, to team sports conditioning.

When Brandy is not in the box you can find her competing in various sports. She has competed in the 2009 Crossfit Games as a team member and has competed individually in the 2010 and 2011 Crossfit Regionals. She has taken on various 5K’s and obstacle/mud races such as the Tough Mudder and Urbanathlon. She is currently competing in USTA tennis tournaments. While Brandy has never been a professional athlete she has taken her love for sports and fitness on in various states and challenges you to step up and take life on.
